Dyadya, which stands for independent strong woman, refers to ‘dyadya uma’. This is a term used in Suriname. The founder Meredith Wielingen wanted to dedicate this headwrap collection to her roots and to the strong women in her life. These women raised her to stand on her own and taught her to love herself for who she is.
Meredith first made headwraps for personal use as a protective style for her lazy hair days. Now, this headwrap collection is expanded with headbands and scrunchies for the modern woman that dares to be bold. The collection is handmade with love in Amsterdam.

Are you a dyadya uma?
